JerseyCruisers2019 Posted May 20, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 20, 2019 (edited) We're looking at a cruise that arrives in Port Canaveral mid-day and leaves the next day in the evening. Few questions about this, first one being, obviously, has anyone ever overnighted in port at Port Canaveral? Second, are there car rental agencies at the port or nearby? Third, if we rent a car the day we arrive, is there a place to park it near the terminal for just the one night? We were thinking of going to Cocoa Beach on the afternoon of the first day, and hitting the Space Center the next day before returning the rental. Thanks for any info you can send my way. Clarea Posted May 20, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 20, 2019 There are several rental car agencies: http://cruiseportcanaveral.us/car-rental/ You can park at the cruise terminal.
Capt_BJ Posted May 20, 2019 #3 Share Posted May 20, 2019 have you checked the prices for the KSC Visitor Center? Kinda pricey for a part day visit (you really want a full day) ship excursions sometimes get 'special routing' to see more in less time . . . just sayin' ... if you have not looked around Your parking question is a new one for me .... usually the parking lots are only 'open' during the ship unload/load times. Outside of these times the gates are locked for security purposes (no one is coming and going). Dunno how this works for an overnight ...... you can call the port parking folks and ask: 321-783-7831 Is the lot open? Do they charge? Inquiring minds want to know . . .
