Garyjames220 Posted May 22, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 22, 2019 hey We are currently saving for a trip. We are from the Uk and will be me and my partner early 30s and a one year old We are really stuck in what to decide between - 14 night probably CBR with dinning plan or 4/5 in Miami or coco beach and then a 7 night cruise on royal Caribbean or Disney depending on price. But probably royal We have only went to Disney ourself upto now and we are wondering if 14 nights is just to much with a baby. I no magic kingdom is the main park for baby rides etc but will there be enough for all that time and as adults will we get fed up of all the baby rides as we will miss the thrill rides together. We were planning in doing baby sitting a few nights but that's starting to make it even more costly Anyway what would you do and what's your advice Thanks in advance for any help

queenfrostine22 Posted May 22, 2019 #3 Share Posted May 22, 2019 I know the Scottish love the sun but, What month? Magic Kingdom can feel like the center of the sun during the summer months. June, July, August, September and sometimes the early part of October. Plus it gets packed! You will wait a very long time for those "baby rides" 14 nights is a long time with a baby at Disney. I wish you the best vacation ever! whatever you decide!

Bookish Angel Posted May 23, 2019 #5 Share Posted May 23, 2019 I am a native Gulf Coast Floridian who lives elsewhere because I hate the very long miserably hot, humid and rainy months. I would go only in January or February when it is pleasantly cool with little humidity and far less rain.

Judyrem Posted May 23, 2019 #7 Share Posted May 23, 2019 Both, if off season. I just returned from 10 days in Orlando last week with 6 days at the parks and it was VERY hot. I would love to have cooler months for the Parks. Best part, you could sail away and have lovely warm weather. I am not native but lived in both the Ft Myers area and Fort Lauderdale area for five years, it was way too hot for me.😳

Crazy planning mom Posted May 23, 2019 #9 Share Posted May 23, 2019 First 2 weeks in December should be a good time to go. Why dont you also post your questions on the Family Cruising board. They can give you suggestions.
Gatordad815 Posted May 24, 2019 #10 Share Posted May 24, 2019 I’d split the trip between Disney and the cruise, doing the cruise first then the resort. 14 days is a long time at Disney for anyone and I’m a pass holder. But it’s a very entertaining spot for a toddler and the room to roam at the resort plus room square footage will be nice after getting off a cruise and being in a small cabin with a toddler for a week. The cruise will will be great and you can take advantage of the nursery and have some adult evenings, then do all the kid-friendly stuff at Disney. I’d plan some chill ship days on the cruise and some chill resort days (non-park days) at Disney. You’ll need the relaxation with the one year old. I also wouldn’t make reservations that can’t be changed or cancelled (shore excursions, Disney dining reservations, etc.) Unless your one year old is the most predictable and well-behaved toddler in history, you’ll find yourself needing to change plans at some point to accommodate the toddler. Be flexible, relax and have fun!
