eglingirl Posted May 24, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 24, 2019 We arrive at 7:00 in Bar Harbor and depart at 7:00 pm. Couple questions........How far is the docking terminal from the park? Is it possible to either walk from the terminal to the park or rent a cab? We would like to hike in the park for a few hours.

Rare 1025cruise Posted May 24, 2019 #3 Share Posted May 24, 2019 Close but not really. There's a free shuttle during the summer that you can take.
go4ak Posted June 27, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 27, 2019 We'll be going to Acadia in October via a Princess cruise. They have an excursion that is a 3 hour "guided walk" that is listed as strenuous. Has anyone done this walk? Do they consider it strenuous because it's three hours (almost) of walking, or are there significant changes in altitude? Thank you in advance for any information. Howdy eglingirl, The park is too far to walk from the tender port. However, if you walk approximately 0.3 mile from the tender port up Main St. (it is an uphill walk) to the Village Green, you can catch any number of Island Explorer Bus routes into the park. I have attempted to post a link to these 10 bus routes, if not just copy and paste the link. This is how I would recommend that you see the park. ddaz GBY http://exploreacadia.com/routefinder.htm
