ourfamilylovescruising Posted May 26, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2019 Just curious I know when we are in Miami and order drinks we have to pay taxes do we have to do the while in Alaska?
YVRBassElectric Posted May 26, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2019 in Seattle taxes are 10.5% and are charged for about 3 hours after sail away. In Victoria, only one bar per deck can be open - so bar service in Cagney's, Le Bistro, La Cucina & Ocean Blue was slow during dinner. Spice H2O bar will be closed. Not Sure what happened with Q, Savor & Taste. Taxes are not charged in Alaskan ports

smplybcause Posted May 27, 2019 #5 Share Posted May 27, 2019 Also on the day sailing into Victoria the Seattle/Washington tax will come back for a few hours while you're in Washington waters. If you were anywhere on deck 6 it was much faster to walk to the atrium bar to get a drink then wait on a waiter. It was usually 20-30 minutes if you waited for them. I think I went to bed around 1am so I'm not sure if the tax came back after leaving Victoria.
