branddad Posted June 9, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2019 Should the 1litre of alcohol per person you are allowed to take on board be carried on in your hand luggage or put in your cases
AndyMichelle Posted June 9, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 9, 2019 Either is fine. Most would say hand luggage to avoid breakages, but we have often wrapped it in a towel in cases with no issues. Andy

majortom10 Posted June 9, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 9, 2019 I would definitely put mine in my hand luggage even with the best care on packing suitcases I have seen how they are thrown about by port handlers. The last thing I would want is my entire contents of my suitcase smelling of whisky. Dont think it is worth the risk.
Rare Se1lad Posted June 9, 2019 #5 Share Posted June 9, 2019 Is there a potential loophole here? Could you put 1L in both your hand luggage and your main case?

But remember it's 1 litre per passenger not per cabin, so that could make 4 litres in total.

I've not travelled on P&O - just Cunard who don't have the same restriction - though saying that on P&O the drinks prices are much cheaper anyway so less of a problem.
