I have an AA flight on hold to go back home that leaves MIA at 11:10. Is that enough time from port arrival and getting to airport by 9:15am?How can I insure I’ll be one of the first to debark?

Normally, yes.  Are you YC?  So long as no glitches.  

 

They are using facial recognition now and I'm curious what their backup plan is if that goes down.

Just left Seaview yesterday. No status with MSC and did self disembarkation (where you keep your luggage and walk off the ship). Was at MIA by 8:30am. We had loads of slow downs and errors that were our own (we had booked a shuttle we couldn't find for almost 30 minutes, etc...). We didn't even start to walk off the ship until 7:30am and I believe disembarkation had been going on for over 30 minutes at that point.

 

If I were to do it again I would walk off between 7-8am and after exiting the terminal I would walk to the right past all the other passengers until it opens up (around Terminal G, pickup spot 6) and grab an UBER/LYFT. No congestion there at all.

One mistake, construction or a crash, you're toast

 

Unless you're YC, have a car and driver set up in advance, can use a premium line to check in for flights, TSA-Pre & Clear....... it'd be too tight for me.

No I don’t have YC but I’d get a taxi. Are taxis readily available? This will be a Sat debarkation so I’d think there wouldn’t be a bad rush hour.

Taxi's are right outside when you exit.
