Cell Phone Cruise Packages

Has anyone used a cell phone cruise package while on a Norwegian cruise? How does it work? My husband and I are doing the NY to Bermuda cruise and would like to be able to be in touch with our kids at home. We have AT&T. Thank you!

The AT&T package costs $100 for unlimited calls and text messages (those are true SMS messages, not iMessage). That package offers a tiny bit of data and you have to watch carefully so you don't exceed the maximum, else start paying by the megabyte. 

 

You could buy an unlimited premium internet from the ship and use wifi calling. That's what we do.

Recommend calling AT&T since international roaming packages are carrier specific and could be based on your current plans.
