cruisingagentone Posted June 13, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2019 Has anyone sailed in the 2 bdr grand suites on Allure or Oasis? Is the 2nd bdr an actual bdr not just bunk beds in a "closet"? Thank you in advance and if anyone has pics I would appreciate it

I have seen the oceanview family cabin and balcony family cabin and they have the closet bunk beds. But the family Grand Suites have two bathrooms and are very nice. Espn Posted June 13, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 13, 2019 Sailed in one on Allure a couple of years ago. It is a real 2 BR and 2 bath cabin with a good sized living area and huge deck. The extra bedroom has the two twin beds that can be made into a queen like most cabins and two drop-down twins at the ceiling. The cabin was great with plenty of room. There are several videos on youtube of these suites.
CruisingHusker Posted June 13, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 13, 2019 I have sailed in one of these as well; however, I was in 12648 which used to be the presidential suite before they split it into 2 two bedroom grand suites so it didn’t have the beds that fold down above the twin beds. This is the best picture I have.
CruisingHusker Posted June 13, 2019 #5 Share Posted June 13, 2019 I found a couple of more pictures of a different one we had on Allure with the fold down beds.
SarcasmSpasm Posted June 13, 2019 #6 Share Posted June 13, 2019 (edited) We are staying in one in the fall. The two on deck 12 do NOT have the fold down beds, and therefore have a max of 6 guests. The ones on the other decks do have them fold down beds, and can fit 8. The trade off is that the 2 bedroom suites on deck 12 have jacuzzi tubs on their balconies. The other ones do not. The second bedroom is like an interior room. No windows. Edited June 13, 2019 by SarcasmSpasm

What did you think of the suite and everything included with a GS? We just got a RoyalUp offer accepted from a JS to a GS #9244 of the Allure sailing 8/25, super excited. Do you have more pics or info? Thanks!!

I just realized the photos I posted above were for the 2BR Grand Suite (oops....not 11730 - that was our aqua theater suite) and it shows each room and the balcony. It’s nice to have the internet included and I really appreciate the reserved seating for the shows. Don’t forget you can order room service for free. The suite lounge is a nice place to relax and there’s a great specialty coffee machine in there too. Enjoy!!

Good to know about room service and can we also order food from the MDR as room service? Is Coastal Kitchen open for embarkation day lunch? 29 minutes ago, Teeara said: What did you offer that they accepted? We had a JS booked and I offered $400pp/$800 total for a GS and got a 2BR GS! We only paid $398 for the original room through a casino offer so I think we did really well, I have no Idea though what the full price for 2 in the the 2BR GS would actually be. CruisingHusker Posted August 23, 2019 #18 Share Posted August 23, 2019 Yes, you can order room service from the MDR during the hours they are open. Coastal kitchen is open for lunch on embarkation day. I think it’s around 11:30 or 12 that they start serving.
