tennispretzel Posted June 17, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 17, 2019 Unfortunately, we had to cancel our last scheduled cruise due to a home emergency. We had a free casino offer and had upgraded to a Neptune. Such a disappointment that we had to cancel. My question is whether anyone has received the free cruise offer from the casino lately as we are wondering if we are still on the list because we canceled? Mehroswitha Posted June 17, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 17, 2019 I'm so sorry you had to cancel! Since his first HAL cruise a couple of years ago my son has been receiving such offers at seemingly random intervals--the most recent was about a month ago. (This time he's accepted, upgraded to a Neptune suite, and asked me along to make it a mother-and-son cruise!) These offers are based on your history of casino play and are extended in hopes that on another cruise you will wager even more--especially since the cruise itself has cost you little or nothing. By booking you've indicated your openness to doing just that, so I shouldn't think your cancellation would stop future offers. That's an opinion based on my own observation and experience coupled with others' accounts--but absolutely no inside information!
Djptcp Posted June 17, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 17, 2019 I receive those free casino offers about 3 times a year and always upgrade to a Neptune Suite. Last one we sailed on was the Oosterdam in Feb. Haven't received a free casino offer lately, but did receive an invitation to a VIP Casino cruise with $500 casino fun play, free drinks in the casino for me and spouse, and deeply discounted cabin rates. We will be sailing on the Nieuw Statendam in Dec. Unfortunately, the cabin rates weren't as greatly discounted as the free casino offers and we couldn't afford to upgrade to a Neptune Suite this time. I wouldn't think your having to cancel your free casino offer cruise would affect receiving offers in the future.
barb-ottawa Posted June 21, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 21, 2019 Haven't received a casino offer lately either. Have been watching the mail hoping for some specials in the winter. Surprised that I haven't seen anything for awhile. Do you know if they are stopping them or cutting down?
