gometros Posted June 18, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2019 I searched the forum, but couldn't find anything recent. We're cruising Disney in the fall and are making a stop in St. Kitts & Nevis. I wanted to do the railway, but it looks like Disney has dropped it from its list of excursions. I somehow recall reading that you could only do this through your cruise line. Is that true and if so, do I have any alternative to doing this excursion?

soonernstlouis Posted June 19, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 19, 2019 Question for those who have previously tried the scenic railway-is it really worth the cost (subjective question I know)? Other venues like the ATV tour and Jeep tour are similarly priced & often go to the beach.

paul58 Posted June 25, 2019 #6 Share Posted June 25, 2019 Unless you are a railfan I would forgo this excursion. When it began operating it circled the whole island. It left from Needsmust Estate near the old sugar factory and returned to the same location. The maintenance of the ROW was expensive and subject to erosion which led to going partially around the island. The passenger cars where all new and built for this train.
