usviking Posted June 26, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2019 We will be disembarking at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal on Wednesday, September 4, 2019. Will there be taxis lined up and available to disembarking passengers? When I search here, I find that it might be difficult to get a taxi from Manhattan to the cruise terminal but I did not find information about getting a taxi from the cruise terminal to Manhattan. Thank you.
Rare Noxequifans Posted June 26, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 26, 2019 I don't believe it is difficult to find a taxi in Manhattan to the Brooklyn port .... except when you stay in a hotel that is sort of out of the way. Be sure you have the port address available if the driver seems to be unfamiliar with it. But, I have heard that at times it may be difficult to get a taxi in Brooklyn. Perhaps consider a car service Dial 7 or Carmel or Uber, etc.
njhorseman Posted June 26, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 26, 2019 There's taxi line at the Brooklyn terminal. Probably not as many taxis as would line up at the Manhattan cruise terminal, but there will be cabs there.
George C Posted June 26, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 26, 2019 I would make sure I had Uber or lyft app just in case , we had issues trying to find taxi but that was a few years ago.

olegna Posted July 13, 2019 #6 Share Posted July 13, 2019 Plenty of cabs, BUT......BE CAREFUL of the meter.... Just returned 7/7/19. Hopped into a cab for Penn Station and driver wanted $34 flat plus tip. After encouraging a few time to turn the meter on, we paid $24 plus tip. It seems they like to pretend the meter is not working. Otherwise, a fast and good ride.

(I live on Staten Island, part of the city.)
