Rare Solent Richard Posted June 27, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2019 (edited) I just thought I'd share some photographs of yesterday's Queen Elizabeth stop at the Hubbard Glacier which my good friend Bell Boy placed on 'Social Media'.... Bell Boy took the ship's excursion, a private boat trip that gets so much closer... ...with the description..." What an amazing day , “up close and personal” at the ‘Hubbard Glacier” . It was worth every penny ,or I should say $ Dollar. We left Lizzy way behind" Many thanks Bell Boy. pberk Posted December 16, 2020 #3 Share Posted December 16, 2020 >>Bell Boy took the ship's excursion, a private boat trip that gets so much closer... We were on the same Voyage to Hubbard Glacier Jun 26, 2019 on QE .. there was a large amount of calving that day.. the most we had ever seen. We didn't realize there was an excursion from QE to a smaller explorer ship .. But we guessed it as we did see the smaller ship as you can see in the video below ... those explorer ships are the greatest as they get so much closer .. but the view from the ship was spectacular too .. Here's my 5 min video of that day -- if you just want to see the biggest calving, skip to 3 min 15 seconds in .. https://youtu.be/HHpfYVuzdfI
