When you check your bags at the port terminal can you have them locked or do they need to be unlocked?

Thanks,

Carol M

Locked.. best advice from this site is to use the plastic hand cuffs I call them.. incase they have to cut them off.. easy to replace..

I use the plastic wire ties..get bright colors and put two different ones one each zipper that you want sealed on the bags....TSA can cut off if they want to check bag...

I then keep an old nail clipper with exta ties in an outside pocket(unzip locked) of the bag in case I need to open. On the my last cruise the staff member that brought the bags to the cabin asked if I wanted the ties removed, he had clippers in his pocket. Guess people must ask them to do open or go looking for scissors.
