gam888 Posted July 9, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2019 We are going on a 12 day cruise with the Silhouette in August, visiting Ireland and Iceland. If any folks have the daily activities sheet they have kept from recent journeys, could you please post them here? We are very eager to see what kind of entertainment activities are offered in the evenings, and on sea days. We are particularly interested in listening to music, either pre-recorded or from the live bands, to do some ballroom or other dancing. What type of music does the house band play in the Grand Foyer and the Sky lounge? Are these two places very crowded at night? How was your experience on the Silhouette in general? What is the average age of the passengers? Were there any dance lessons? How was the food in the main dining room? Thank you in advance.
Mynki Posted July 9, 2019 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2019 (edited) Was on Silhouette just a few weeks ago. There was no ballroom dancing onboard. It doesn't appear to be an activity offered by Celebrity, at least not with any regularity if at all. Food in MDR - We only had lunch as we were in Blu for dinner but it was ok. Average passenger age would be around 60 at a guess. During the entire cruise we only saw two children and one teenager. There may be a few more in august. The Martini bar can become very crowded at times but the others were not too busy really. Edited July 9, 2019 by Mynki
HelenREMfan Posted July 9, 2019 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2019 On previous sailings there has been dancing later at night in the Sky Lounge to live music. I am not saying it is ballroom but then as I never ent I wouldn't know. Think there was also some in the grand foyer on the customer service deck thought the space is more limited there. Covepointcruiser Posted July 9, 2019 #4 Share Posted July 9, 2019 Celebrity has two very small dance floors. Neither is suitable for ballroom dancing.

bernipops Posted July 10, 2019 #6 Share Posted July 10, 2019 We have just been on Silhouette and they had an hour of ballroom dancing to recorded music in the Sky lounge at 8.00 pm every night. This was poorly attended, only two or three couples, and probably the reason why was because the recorded music was dire and totally unsuitable for ballroom dancing. They did have latin sessions some nights on Level 3 which was where most of the action was before 10.00 pm. Plenty of dancing in the Sky Lounge at 10.00 pm. Do not miss Queen night it was amazing. Hope this helps.
