What to do in Fairbanks before a late flight.

Plenty to see and do.   Rent a car-   offers you everything.   Otherwise,  where the cruise tours lodge- isn't convenient and public transportation is extremely limited.     www.explorefairbanks.com

We had the same issue.  I heard there were buses if you walked a few blocks.  Check out the museum near the university campus.  Some people went to the hot springs.  My hubby was sick that day...a cold virus that ended up to be pneumonia,  so we stayed close to the hotel...not much to do there.

Not every hotel will be within walking distance to the FNSB bus system.  And what museum are you mentioning.  If you mean the Museum of the North it is located ON the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus.

But I would also suggest renting a car for the day.  Budget Queen has provided the website for the Fairbanks Convention and Visitor's Center.
