Check In Time For Platinum

Went to checkin for my October cruise and all the early times for check in are gone. I know you have to pick a time even if you are Platinum or above but can you still show up at anytime?

We became Platinum on our last cruise and Brother and SIL had FTTF.   When we both checked in on the first day it was available, the only time slot was 12:30-1:00.  It would appear that anyone that has priority is just given one time knowing that you can and will show up any time.
