OK - I looked up Keen Bern and they are different. These are similar to what I have: https://www.keenfootwear.com/p/W-GYPSUM-II-MID-WP.html?dwvar_W-GYPSUM-II-MID-WP_color=1017679&cgid=womens_footwear_boots

Though I don't bring them with me. I only use them for shoveling snow. I brought athletic gore-tex athletic shoes (Brooks Ghost).

I don't personally find athletic shoes comfortable. Odd, I know.  But what's important for travel in Europe is a shoe that we each find comfortable for (typically) lots of walking, including on unstable surfaces like cobbles. Goretex or a waterproof spray are recommended just in case ;-)

In warm temps, I want as little shoe as possible. But some people wear ankle boots for warm weather travel too. My claustrophobic feet cringe when I see it, but hey - not my feet, not my choice ;-)

[my snow boots are Sorels, because I used to live in Utah - nope, don't travel with those - and they don't get much use here, though we typically get at least one good snowstorm a year]
