grandgeezer Posted August 2, 2019 #52 Share Posted August 2, 2019 Everything you do requires some type of risk. Do a risk/reward evaluation and do what you think is best. We used to live in northern Wisconsin and we used to take a vacation every January or February to get away from the cold and snow. The only resemblance to a problem was one year we got back to Green Bay and they had to deice the doors to get them open.
SbbquilterUT Posted August 2, 2019 #53 Share Posted August 2, 2019 We love to cruise in January. Just be aware that the Bahamas can be cooler, therefore we opt for the Southern Caribbean.

Also, coming from the northeast, I am worried about flight cancellations and missing the cruise. Should I aim to arrive two days earlier or is a day earlier good enough? We love to cruise in January! Holidays are over, snow is still on the ground, cold and slushy yuck to drive in...what better time to escape?? 🙂
