My cabin is currently on the 7th floor at the back of the ship with a balcony. I have an upgrade to the 9th floor, balcony, no difference in room size, middle or front of the ship. Would it be worth it or just stay where I'm at???

I'm not you, but I would be fine with the original empress 7th deck cabin.  I would be closer to the adult pool and hot tubs then.  I can walk up the stairs 2 flights to Lido and down 2 to the comedy club or the casino.  From the 9th deck I wouldn't be getting any stair exercise!

 

Of course, many with mobility issues prefer the 9th deck since they can easily access Lido deck, but I'm not in the category yet.

I think being on the Lido deck is a huge plus. Close to the food and poolside activities like the Dive in movies.
