Ruins and Beach (2 groups differing interest)

Hello,  I am traveling with a small group some of whom wish to see Chacchoben and the other just want a beach/snorkel day.  We were hoping to have the group going to Chacchoben meet up after the trip with the group at the beach.  Looking for suggestions on Ruins trip and beach to meet.  Both groups range in age from 15 - 61.  Thansk

Do Native Choice for the ruins and ask them to drop you off at the malecon where ever the beach group is going.

 

For the beach group, if having others join, don't do an AI.  Make reservations for loungers at Tropicante, or show up at Krazy Lobster or YaYas.  Check websites on Pitaya or Pez Quadro, Both have AI and non AI packages, but I believe event he non-AI need reservations.

The malecon is a boardwalk along a beach.  In Mahahual, where the beaches are in Costa Maya, it is a concreate walkway with beaches and ocean on one side and the fronts for shops and beach clubs on the other.

Just a suggestion if your ship visits Cozumel.  Check if your ship has an excursion to Coba.  You don't just "see" ruins, you can actually climb to the the top.  More than 60 cruises and this is one of our most memorable experiences.
