So glad to hear you had a nice trip on the Breakaway.  I feel like there are a lot of negative reviews out there which is worrying me for our Nov cruise.  So how crowded was it really?  We are not big pool people so less worried about those crowds-more concerned about an overall feel.

Honestly didn't feel the crowds at all, except for the pool, which we barely used anyway.  If you want to go in a hot tub, go to Spice H20, aft on deck 16 past Margaritaville.  Again, the Atrium got busy when there was something going on, but manageable.  Seats fill up quickly.  The buffet is big enough and has pretty much the same thing in like 4 or 6 different spots that it really isn't bad.  We always looked for a table outside the Garden Cafe, and were always able to get a table for 4, since we really enjoy being outside.  Enjoy your trip, I didn't find anything negative about it, and would definitely book again!

I was on the Breakaway Aug 5 week, Second time on her, Beautiful ship. Embarkment process was very easy.  My only complaint and a small one was the week we were there the Air Conditioning was not working well in the casino and very smoky.  They had little air conditioners placed through out the casino.  I am sure this will be fixed if not already.. Enjoy her and have fun...

Is Shanghai's Noodle Bar open for lunch?

Yes    FYI they are now requiring reservation due to the popularity.  There is still no extra fee.  If you want to see how they make the food sit at the bar top in front of the chefs.

Can you make reservations before you are on the ship?  How far in advance?  Thanks!

If you went to Roatan, Coxen Hole, did you notice alot of people at the port selling shore excursions?  We are thinking of trying zip-lining, but don't want to book ahead of time.

There's a TON of people in port.  There's a zip lining place literally across the street from the port with a cool restaurant too.  We ate Iguana there!!! 😉

I think it was Jungle Top Zip Lining?

As a solo traveler I walked to the port "gate", I was going to walk down the road to a bar I saw.  The men at the gate trying to "get your business" were being way way too aggressive.  The port had two men at either side of the gate, with guns, to keep the non-passengers out of the port area.  I saw that and turned around and stuck in the port area, it didn't seem safe for me, by myself to walk outside that gate.  The ONLY port I've ever felt that way.

Thanks for your recommendation about H2O. I was just about ready to ask how crowded it gets.

We disembarked from Breakaway yesterday. Fabulous cruise. Pools are ridiculously small and getting a lounger by the pool or a drink from the pool bar during the day was challenging. However, the rest of the ship was much less crowded - the waterside was a brilliant area - loads of seating and bars never too busy.  There were plenty of quiet spots to avoid queues and crowds if you wanted to e.g. the bar by the entrance to the buffet was always quieter than the ones by the pool.

Food in the MDR was the best we have had in some time. Ambience of the Manhattan room was great and we always got seated straightaway. Le Bistro was so so, Cagneys good and Ocean Blue was excellent. Highly recommend breakfast at Moderno as much less busy thsn the buffet and a relaxing way to start the day.

The bands at Syd Norman's were great fun as was Howl at the Moon.  We are keen to book again. NCL do a great job of catering to a wide audience.
