FTTF Tender Priority

We have FTTF for our cruise on the Glory in two weeks.  We have an early non-Carnival excursion scheduled for Grand Cayman.  How do we take advantage of the priority tender access?  Do we have to go to guest services?  Do we just squeeze past others lined-up for the tender and likely annoy them?  We need to be ashore at 8:00 a.m.

I usually get Diamond priority tender instructions the night before the port.  It will indicate a meeting point like the theater or the comedy club and a time to meet there next morning.  FTTFs should get a similar alert.

 

If you want earlier assurances about FTTF tendering, ask GS or attend one of the port talks where an explanation of the process is usually made.

 

Understand that higher level priorities than FTTFs will go first, diamonds and plats, just like in boarding the ship.  Your excursion will be waiting for you, as long as you are on one of the first 5 or 8 tender trips ashore.  Enjoy your cruise.

When I had FTTF on the Magic, we received a flyer in our cabin the day before we arrived at HMC that stated FTTF passengers could meet in a specific dining room at 8:00 am.  We got there at 8:00 am and I believe it was the same location as platinum and diamond passengers.  Once the tender boat was ready, everyone got in line to be escorted to the boat.  The boat was so large that all priority passengers were seated on the same boat and they began to load regular passengers.

We have had FTTF twice with Tender ships.  Both times we were instructed to go to Guest Services.  Guest Services had us wait in the chairs near the lobby bar.  After about 5 minutes, a fun squad member showed up and said to follow her.  She took us to an elevator controlled by her key.  Went down to the loading floor and separate line straight onto the tender.  Very easy.

Thanks for the great replies!  I think I'll check with guest services the night before, but also keep an eye out for a notice in our mailbox.  I've had FTTF before but never had to use the priority tender service.
