biker@sea Posted August 29, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2019 We had a few tokens left over from last time so I bought 10 3 zone tokens and 10 14 zone tokens for the 4 of us. 3 zone tokens cost $2.75 each 14 zone tokens cost $ 4.50 each. Day 1 we went to whale bay ( there’s only a beach @ low tide ) from Dockyard. Used 8 3 zone tokens. Day 2 NCL free ferry to St. George. $ 9.00 taxi to Alexander Battery and the glass beach. We lucked out and caught a bus at the top of the hill on the walk back to town. Used 4 more 3 zone tokens to Get to Swizzle Inn. After lunch we walked down the hill to the gas station, crossed the street and went into Tom Moore’s Jungle the back way. Stopped at Blue hole in the jungle for cliff jumping before the walk through to Tom Moore's Tavern and the bus stop. 4 14 zone tokens got us into Hamilton from there. We walked up to the top of the hill from the bus terminal to climb the church steeple but to late the office closed @ 3. Headed back down Front St. to get our passports stamped @ the Customs house. After a visit to Par-La-Ville park we picked up 4 more 14 zone token @ the ferry terminal. 4 14’s got us back Dockyard. Day 3 Easy day, 8 14’s for the bus to Stonehole Bay and back. In the end - $103 for tokens vs. $176 for 4, 3 day passes. .
CarolRoy Posted August 29, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 29, 2019 We buy the 15-ticket booklet for $37.50 (so it's just $2.50 a ride on either the ferry or bus). Tickets never expire. We can all use the same 15-ticket booklet. We buy the 15-ticket at the post office in St. George. You can not buy it at the Dockyard. 1

Forgot to mention that these are Zone 14 tickets and can be used all over Bermuda. 1
Charles4515 Posted August 29, 2019 #4 Share Posted August 29, 2019 I always do the math. I have not bought the passes for years. Since we take the minibus or taxi most places these days we only buy tokens for when we are taking the ferry. Last week we only took taxis since our cruise docked in St. George's and Hamilton. St. George's to Turtle Bay (Clearwater/Coopers Reserve) was $20 each way. St. George's to Tobacco Bay we walked. St. George's to Swizzle inn was $20 each way. Taxi from Hamiltion to Horseshoe Bay was $20 each way. Since each $20 was shared we figured Taxis the best for us.
Ellusionz Posted August 31, 2019 #5 Share Posted August 31, 2019 (edited) Does anyone know if the day passes are per day or per 24 hours? We arrive on Monday 4pm and leave Tuesday 4pm.. Would we be able to purchase 1 day pass for both days? And are day passes good for both ferries and buses? The transportIon passes are not on a 24 hour basis. The day expires at midnight so you would not be able to use a 1 day pass for both days. A 1 day pass used on Monday will expire at midnight and won’t be good on Tuesday. The passes are good on both ferries and buses.
