Can an royal fcc be used on a celebrity booking

Looks like I will have a very large fcc from my Allure sailing. I saw a celebrity sailing I liked. Can you use the royal fcc on celebrity. .?

Not usually, but read the terms on your FCC when you get it.

We had a FCC credit from Royal,  couldn't use it for  Celebrity. Had to use it before end of November.
