Silhouette sailing December 1, 2019 Departure port change

Just thought I would share this as a heads up for those on our sailing. We just received a letter from our travel agent informing us that the Silhouette will be sailing to and from Miami instead of Ft Lauderdale due to a scheduling error.  They are offering transfers to and from the airport in Ft Lauderdale to the port in Miami.   I will be calling to request our transfers.  We are flying in on Thursday (Thanksgiving Day) to be with family and the ship sails on Sunday, 12/1.  Hopefully this is not too much of an inconvenience for passengers given that it is the busiest travel weekend of the year.  Must be a logistical nightmare for Celebrity.  Regardless, we can't wait to be on that beautiful ship!!

There,s  a long active thread about the  port changes which I am trying to.locate ???  Many are inconvenienced by the changes.

 

Wanted to say that things can always be worse.   Norwegian cruisers  had to return to a diff port due to Hurricane and were apparently not all happy campers!

Thanks for the heads up.  I did not see your thread.  I have responded with what I found out today from Celebrity customer service.  It should not be this stressful to take a well deserved cruise.
