Time change Vancouver to Hawaii

Cursing from Vancouver to Hawaii leaving 9/21. When do they change the time?  Is there any intermittent time at sea between Vancouver and Hawaii?

Trying to plan out medication timing before we go 😊.

This would depend on your cruise line, but generally, cruise lines change time around 2am. There is 3 hours difference between Vancouver and Hawaii, so would expect you would gain an hour of sleep 3 different nights.

It should be relatively easy to adjust your medication schedule.  I can't remember the precise days, but it depends on whether you have 4 or 5 sea days and time of year you are going -- because Hawaii does not observe daylight savings time.

 

During daylight savings time, there will be a 3 hour change over the course of sea days; and a 2 hour change over the sea days during standard time.  The change will be one hour each time over several days and you will be on Hawaii time by at least one day out. 

 

Edit:  Just re-read original post and see you sail 9/21 - so it's still daylight savings time -- a 3 hour change.
