Which ports to choose?

I'm planning a cruise with my large family and we're not sure which port would be better.

Montego Bay / Grand Cayman

Mahogany Bay / Belize

Which would you choose and why?

I'm hearing horror stories about Honduras, we would stay within the port to take advantage of the beach.  Is the port safe?  I would think Carnival would take all precautions to insure it is for it's cruisers.

Also, I'm reading that Jamaica has aggressive vendors who don't take no for an answer and there are drug pushers, which I'm sure these are everywhere.
