Rare Eglesbrech Posted September 18, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2019 We always ordered a bon voyage package for each cruise as it is nice to arrive to flowers, chocolates, champagne, to enjoy a special breakfast and get a nice picture. For years we have done this but recently they have added bathrobes to the package. We kept the first lot, we gave away the second and third lot. We can’t use or even give away any more P&O cruises bathrobes! I have mentioned this to P&O customer services and they have done, let me think about this now, nothing. Surely this will put off regular cruisers from spending money with the line for a Bon voyage package, or is it just me?
davemorton Posted September 18, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 18, 2019 I see it is £140 at the moment, how much was it before they included the robes?
Goosebear Mum Posted September 18, 2019 #3 Share Posted September 18, 2019 It does seem a random item to add; the others make sense, but, a bathrobe???
davemorton Posted September 18, 2019 #4 Share Posted September 18, 2019 Slippers are added too, are these not included once you get to a certain level anyway?
bee-ess Posted September 18, 2019 #5 Share Posted September 18, 2019 (edited) I remember when we started cruising with P&O that we used to get one of these packages free from our TA at the time as a thanks for the booking. They sadly ceased to trade and that 'perk' ended with them ! Edited September 18, 2019 by bee-ess

Yes they are so you end up with 4 lots and they are all too big for me (and I suspect for most women).

Can’t find a receipt but from memory they were around £85 pounds before the robes were added in. The new welcome onboard is £56 but only has champagne, flowers and chocolates. Personally I liked the breakfast which I can now only get with the bigger package and yet more bathrobes and slippers.
catperson02 Posted September 19, 2019 #8 Share Posted September 19, 2019 I have looked at this and it looks tempting for our cruise next year. I assume that the steward will be able to provide a vase for the flowers - I don't really want to have to pack one. Do you get your peninsular discount if you order from cruise personaliserr? I would probably buy 2 packages, one for us and one for my parents who will be in the cabin next door.
