It is in drydock in Victoria for 2 full weeks and there will be approximately 2,000 workers. Many will be staying onboard during the refit. We got this information from several of the crew. Does the overhaul include cabins, my friend and I are sailing in a balcony cabin next spring, as well as the public spaces?

zelker Posted October 7, 2019 #28 Share Posted October 7, 2019 More photos/comments from the glass company. Wonder if they're replacing any of the glass in the MDR since they did the elevators and Crow's Nest. Close to completing this project. All of the windows are in just the finishing touches left to do.
skyfire747 Posted December 23, 2019 #29 Share Posted December 23, 2019 What a difference the new carpet makes to her looks. I was on board back in April 2019 and she was starting to look a bit old then, but wow, she is looking great now.
MomKris Posted December 23, 2019 #30 Share Posted December 23, 2019 I’m sailing on the Noordam from Auckland to Sydney in March. I talked with the cruise consultant from Holland last week and she confirmed that the Noordam was in dry dock for 2 weeks this fall but she didn’t have specifics about what all was done. So I would still appreciate hearing from anyone who has cruised in her recently.
Rare richwmn Posted December 23, 2019 #31 Share Posted December 23, 2019 It didn't appear that any major renovations were done, for example the Crows Nest hasn't changed yet. If you look at this thread https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2702849-noordam-a-passage-to-new-zealand/ You will see numerous pictures of how the ship looked right after dry dock.
