Kaye from Chicagoland Posted January 31, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 31, 2006 What a shame! I always thought the job of a pilot could be quite dangerous. So sorry for his family, Kaye

mii Posted January 31, 2006 #7 Share Posted January 31, 2006 Very sad. It always amazed me to watch those harbor pilots getting on and off these ships. We used to watch them especially in Alaska, while the ship was moving how they get on and off of the ship. How they co-ordinate the small boat and the large ship so that they can get on and off. Our prayers are with the family. Marilyn
MaryPoppinz Posted January 31, 2006 #8 Share Posted January 31, 2006 So sad! I always like to go out and photograph the harbor pilots going back to their pilot boats and it looks so dangerous. It scares the daylights out of me.
