teachberry Posted October 1, 2019 #3 Share Posted October 1, 2019 We were on the Joy this summer cruising to Alaska. We were on one of the first groups to board (platinum) and went immediately to the Observation Lounge and claimed two of those wonderful loungers at the very front. It was wonderful! There is a small buffet offering a salad bar, sandwiches, and dessert. We stayed there until the "rooms are ready" announcement. It was a very relaxing embarkation! 2

fsa1155 Posted October 4, 2019 #5 Share Posted October 4, 2019 When we were on the Getaway, Haven guests were allowed to eat a Margaritaville for free on embarkation day as an extra perk. Does anyone know if Haven guests on the Joy will be able to eat at the American Diner for free on embarkation day? Just wondering. Thanks 😀

Thank you so much for this information. My cabin, a balcony, is on 15, so going to the Observation Lounge sound wonderful. As far as lunch goes, a salad and sandwich sounds perfect. Guess I'll just relax and wait for the call to order, I mean cabin. Cheers Connie

I was hoping it would be like the Margaritaville on the Getaway.
