Candleonwater Posted October 9, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2019 After over half a dozen cruise visits to St Maarten, we've decided to do a destination trip. We are staying over by the Airport, and want to do one excursion. Can't even begin to narrow it down, as far as which vendor. Would you do a catamaran sail, ATV, or Jetski? We always sail when we are in St Maarten, and LOVE it, but wondering if maybe we should try something new there? Jetskis: I noticed the tours tend to take place on the Caribbean side of the island, so I'm assuming the water may be a little less rough? ATV's: has the island recovered enough for this to be fun? We've done ATV tours on other islands, and thought it might be fun to try it on one of our favorite islands. Cat Sailing, our only requirement is that it has the trampoline/nets up front. Don't like the platforms. Some of the tours I've looked at are ALL day, which would be a nice change over our rather short days as cruise passengers. Rare crewsweeper Posted October 10, 2019 #2 Share Posted October 10, 2019 Destination trip is a great time to take a ferry to Anguilla, St. Barths or Saba. Easy day trips if you don't have a time commitment to be back on board a ship.
