hop on hop off LA

Hi ...have a few days in LA shortly before our cruise out of San Pedro. Staying in Hollywood and looking to use the hop on hop off buses to get around ... there are 2 that I can see ..Big Bus and City Sightseeing ... anybody have any experience on these ..is one better than the other to see more of the sights ?? Not sure which one to go with .Thank you

I would actually encourage you to look at a third-- StarLine. They run a lot of the celebrity homes tours and they have 3 routes of hop on hop off in Hollywood, LA, and Santa Monica. Its a well established company thats been there for a while. 

 

To be perfectly honest with you HOHO tours in LA I find to be sort of less effective than in more concentrated cities unless you are really opposed to driving yourself. You can do all the things you'll do on the tour with your own car and the GPS on your phone. LA is a driving city. You'll see a lot more this way.
