This almost sounds like the equivalent of Camille's position over at NCL. She works closely with the travel agents and does a lot of the sales promotion emails. Sounds like MSC is really starting to fill it's USA office to expand more here and she'll be the one spearheading it with the travel agent partners and developing direct booking tools as well.
