Seaside YC luggage tags

If I remember right from last season don't they rip off the luggage tags at the YC  tent and put on different tags?  If so I see no need to waste paper.

That was my experience last year also.  Pretty sure it hasnt changed recently.

Two weeks ago they left the original tags on and put a new gold one with you cabin number on it, for priority handling.
