Different fare for my husband than myself?

Both myself and my husband are Platinum, over the age of 55,  neither of us are veterans and we both live in the same state,  obviously.  I have a few more Cruises than he does and I gamble in the casino while he does not.  Why is Carnival showing room rates using his VIFP number  about $30-50 Per person cheaper than when I use mine, for the exact same room Type?   Makes no sense, shouldn”t I get a beter rate since I also spend money in the casino, all things considered?

Could be a computer glitch of some sort. Why not give Carnival a call? I doubt that anyone here would have the answer for you. All we can do is speculate.

Happens all the time. He must have an offer than you do not. When we cruise I always check everyones
VIFP number and the majority of the time one is cheaper. Usually though it is me as I get casino offers and DH does not.

You never know though in a few more days you may have something even cheaper.

My husband receives many of the same casino offers, but he does not receive nearly as much casino cash, sometimes none, as I do. His cabin rates aren't as cheap as mine either. I play slots and he plays table games, although he always gives his card to the pit boss. So, we book the casino offers in my name to receive the best cabin rates and most casino cash.

I'm the cruiser in the family and travel either solo or with my husband or sister. In the last month, on three different cruise lines, my sister and husband have received really good offers, while I've received none. And I have priority with all three lines. I figure the cruise lines are targeting less frequent cruisers because they figure the regular cruisers don't need the incentive of a better rate to cruise...

If you are checking prices on the Carnival website, it will automatically remember the last VIFP Club  number or Past Guest number that has been entered.  Your computer's cookies does this automatically, not Carnival.   I change the Past Guest number back and forth from mine to my husbands to see which one has the better deals.

It is on the screen that says "Tell Us About Yourself" while booking.  If no number is put in, then you will not get any discounts.
