clam shell at 1/2 Moon Cay

How do you go about getting a clam shell on 1/2 moon Cay .I need shade for a baby

We reserved a clamshell online under Shore Excursions. Then when we got to Half Moon Cay, we presented the voucher at the activity center (I think that's what it was called) for a receipt, and then walked along the line of clamshells, selected the one we wanted, and one of the beach workers checked the receipt and then opened up the clamshell for us.

We reserved once we got to the beach. There is a small blue shack up the steps where you can rent them as well as floats. Cost was $30 for the clamshell and $20 for the float. As the previous poster said you just then walk down the beach and pick which one you want. Someone with a yellow shirt will set it up for you.

You can rent them on the island as well. They offer shade but restrict airflow. The time we got one it was hot!  Now I just look for chairs I  the shade.
