NCL - Jewel - Restaurant Reservations

More newb cruising questions related to restaurant reservations (For restaurants that take reservations)

• Is it advised to book in advance? ... (I'd prefer to wait until the cruise and decide based on how the day is going)
• Do you have the option of picking a table (for instance by a window) ... etc?
• Does being in the Haven make a difference for dinner reservations?

If you want to eat on a particular day and at a popular time, it’s often wise to book in advance, especially on a short cruise. You may find Teppanyaki in particular, because it’s relatively small and has just a few seatings, difficult if not impossible to get in to the day of.  If you don’t care about eating very early, or late, you will have more options. 

 

If you are in the Haven or a non-Haven suite, the concierge can definitely help with reservations, and can sometimes get you in even when a place appears to be booked up.  I have never tried day of, so can’t advise on that.

 

We dine when it’s dark out, so have never thought about window seats. 😀
