Chichen Itza by plane?

Thinking about booking the Chichen Itza by Plane tour - by far the most expensive trip I would consider for the 4 of us. Has anyone taken this and thought it was worth the cost??  Going with spouse and 2 kids, aged 10.  I want to see the ruins, but the thought of spending 4 hours going back and forth makes me grumpy!

I noticed this tour also.  Two reviews on the Carnival website for thier flight tour.  Very positive reviews.  Look about 40 minute flight each way, private guide at the ruins.

I will look at this as an option on my next visit.  Considering flying, private guide and tour, reasonable.  But for a family of four, that's a different story

Just saw this tour on the Celebrity website....looks interesting but not many reviews anywhere.  Any one out there taken this since this was posted?  Of course...covid happened, but you never know 🙂

If you are planning to go to Chichen Itza and can afford it the plane is the way to go.  If you go by bus or van expect to spend half the day travelling.

One thing to be aware of is that if they do not have a certain amount of people book the flight excursion, it will be cancelled. I got a letter the night before my booked flight saying that it was cancelled because I was the only one that had booked it. 😔

Hmmmm..... is this still offered?

 

We had this excursion booked with Carnival but that particular cruise got cancelled.  We rebooked a different cruise and now it doesn't appear that this excursion is still offered by Carnival.  It sounds like other lines still have it, I'm wondering what's going on.
