cartfan Posted November 3, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2019 We will be on the Freedom Of The Seas with a stop in Barbados on Dec 13. we received an email that our stay has been extended to be 8am to 9 pm so we may Explore the port at night. Email from Royal says " Live life as a Bajan and head to Pelican Village for a special event - Bridgetown Night Market and Riddim Route". From what I can find when googling I think this may be the Festive Fridays at Pelican craft market, does anyone know if this is correct? Has anyone been to this, how did you get there, is it far from the port? thanks for the help.

Nonie22 Posted July 10, 2022 #3 Share Posted July 10, 2022 Does anyone know if they still do this on Friday evening? We will be visiting in November and are looking for something fun to do in the evening.
PORT ROYAL Posted July 11, 2022 #4 Share Posted July 11, 2022 Barbados in town centre markets areas after dark = Stay in a group. No bling, no expensive clothing, no credit cards, no expensive phones or cameras, minimum cash in pockets and if holding a small wad hide away from sight in a restricted access position. Best to take a dinner/drinks sunset cruise. There are selections with times between 3 and 5ish hours. Remember you get the experience one pays for. Consider “Elegance”… Used for day and night cruises and never disappointed.
Bajanswife Posted July 14, 2022 #5 Share Posted July 14, 2022 Pretty sure they don't do that anymore. Nothing much happens in Bridgetown at night these days. For evening activities head to the south coast (St. Lawrence Gap especially, but the stretch from Hastings to Worthing has some restaurants and small bars) or west coast (Holetown). Having said that, you never know what will be happening by November - best to check back closer to the time.
