fred549 Posted November 4, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 4, 2019 Hello, We want to give our children cruise cash as a Christmas Gift. They are going on a Carnival cruise in Feb, 2020. Can we just give it to them, and they apply it to their account when they get on the ship? Or will we need their booking/cabin number to do this? Thank you. tallnthensome Posted November 4, 2019 #2 Share Posted November 4, 2019 Cruise cash is electronic and not something you physically hand to someone. You can give them Carnival gift cards. https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3602/~/cruise-cash-program

And a lot simpler.
purplephenom Posted November 4, 2019 #4 Share Posted November 4, 2019 Carnival gift card will be easier. But, if there's a reason you want to do cruise cash, I dont think you need the booking/cabin number. I think the sail date and full names is enough. Thank you. It looks like you only need first and last name plus sailing month (I did a dummy order for myself). Cruise cash is available in $25 increments, while gift cards start at $100. Depending on how big a gift someone wants to give this can be a reason to use cruise cash. Cruise cash is also directly on the account, so nothing to lose or forget. It is nonrefundable though, so that is something to consider. If you are spending $100 or more then a gift card can make sense as you can often get them at a discount or get in-store perks (gas, grocery points) depending on where you purchase it. Unused gift card amounts are refunded to another gift card. Edited November 5, 2019 by pacruise804
