Thoughts on Meraviglia? Cruising solo Jan 5th 2020. 

Hows the crowd , spa and gym? 

Cruising on it till 12th, then jumping onto Divina for another 5 days.

MSC has great spas, but they are more Asian inspired as opposed to Elemis which most other cruise lines use.  They may give you a teeny tiny little envelope which you are supposed to use as a cover-up…😄😄

 

it is NOT, as I learned, an eye patch. 😂😂😂

Yes!!! I don’t mind traveling solo, but always nice to meet new people!!

Hubby has two cousins who may join us. Two gay singles. 
one from here, and one from central PA.

OK. The ship is sold out but there were a couple of cancellations so they were able to get on board.

Hi.. 

I was on the repo 13 day NYC to miami cruise 28 Oct - 10 Nov 2019 cruise...

 

I was apprehensive at first but had sailed msc smaller ships a few years back... I really enjoyed it.

 

There was a posted daily gl gathering in the starlight lounge each evening around 6 PM I believe.  I never joined but there about 8 guys there most evenings.

The gym is nice and the equipment varied.  I just use treadmill & free weights.  There is a small sauna in the locker room area that I used.

The spa I did not use because I'm not into it.  I did make 2 appts to get my haircut onboard & each time they were over booked so i left.

There are so many varied lounges..something for everyone...starlight lounge...ask for Mohammad & the captain at the bar & ask for a MOJO.  there is an english pub, champagne bar and several other.  

I ate most meals in the buffet simply because I was solo & preferred alone time.  The food was good, varied & if I wanted something..just ask.  The pizza is great and try the gelato on deck 6.

I booked a Fantastica balcony room on deck 13 midship & had breakfast delivered every day.

I've tried most lines since the 1970s and would pick MSC over ncl, rccl etc.

I like the European flavor...

This was cruise was just transport to florida but I really enjoyed it.
