App check in

Looked at the online app check in

 

it mentioned “scan your passport”

 

how do you do that ??

 

can it be done on a phone ?? 
 

or only on a desktop computer with a printer that can “scan” ??

 

we are getting new passports so can’t check in yet anyway

any method ( app check in, etc ) that would expedite the tedious boarding process sounds great to us 👍👍
