$25 NCL Travel Protection

Has anyone had experience with the Travel Protection you add on for $25?  My elderly father just booked a cruise and he told them to put that on if it was only $25.  My question is what does it cover?  Can't be much for $25.  I've searched these boards and can't seem to find anything on it.  What exactly does it cover?

I've seen it offered at the last minute (maybe a week or two before the cruise).  It's a limited travel protection plan.  Better than nothing, but you can find much more comprehensive plans online for not much more money.

The $25 essentials insurance plan is offered at final payment or later. It is a post-departure policy that covers medical and lost baggage and such, but does not cover trip cancellation. So if you get injured on an excursion and need to seek medical attention back onboard, that would be covered. Medical evac would be covered. Cancellation of your trip for any reason, including medical, prior to departure would not be covered. Hope that helps!

I think it provides value for the price.  I always get it for myself and all traveling companions.  Just noting that my Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield policy reimburses medical care while traveling worldwide at the preferred provider rate.
