Leaving the cruise ship once you board

:confused: Are you allowed to get off the cruise ship once you board. We are leaving out of Fort Lauderdale and were wondering if once we are settled in can we get off the ship before it sails. We plan on boarding fairly early and we do not leave until 5 pm.

Outside of some extraordinary circumstance (i.e. medical emergancy), once you're on, you're on (as far as I know). If you want to expore the area, you should do so before you board or, of course, after the cruise. No visitors are allowed, either.

You usually can leave the ship, just be sure to take your cruise card (you get it when you check in) and a photo ID or passport. You would have lots of trouble with out these 2 items when you try to re-board.

There is not much to do close by....Port Everglades is a very secure area....check points looking at passports and tickets, etc....you really can not walk to much so a cab would be the thing to do...make sure to take some ID, etc.

We always get on get settled and then get off to get our liquor and cokes etc. No problem as stated above take your ID and cruise card with you. Plety of stores across 17th St. :)

If you cant smuggle enough alcohol in one trip its time for A.A.!
