thepeb Posted December 12, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 12, 2019 Hi Does anyone know if jabs are needed for this cruise? Much appreciated and sorry if it has already been asked!
Tizzy-Jo Posted December 12, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 12, 2019 Best to check this out with your GP. You will probably need the usual:- HepA, Typhoid, Tetanus and Polio. Your doctor might recommend others. Don’t take chances, it’s not worth it.
edinburgher Posted December 13, 2019 #3 Share Posted December 13, 2019 The "fitfortravel.nhs.uk" website is usually an excellent first stop as they have a "country by country" section where you can check each country you will visit. They also have a Malaria map for each country where malaria could be an issue. Each is usually also divided into different areas/regions of each country so you may find that the areas you will visit could require more or less in the way of vaccinations, anti-malarials etc. Also check with your Travel Service at your local GP practice for any vaccinations you need to get and for anti-malarials if needed. If you need these, shop around (easily done online) to compare pricing for anti-malarials as the cost can vary. Although we have not needed to buy any recently, in the past we bought ours several times from an in-store pharmacy in Asda who were the cheapest at that time.
