help with smartest transportation plan

We fly in to West Palm Airport the day before cruise.  We land at 5pm.  We booked The Hilton Blue Lagoon in Miami that night.  They have parking for $21 night.  They have a Hertz in their lobby.  They offer a shuttle to port miami for $13 per person.

There are 6 adults.

option A) We can rent a hertz mini van near west palm airport and return it the next morning right at our hotel for $85.  We would then have to pay $21 to park it (hert is closed at 5pm and doesn't reopen until 9am at the hotel so we can't return it when we arrive). We would have to pay $13 per person for the shuttle from hotel to pier.  The mini van would be a tight squeeze with 6 people and our luggage. Total cost would be about $30pp.

option B) . try to find a livery/shuttle service to drive us from west palm airport to Hilton Miami.  We would then take hotel shuttle to pier for $13pp.  Not sure we could do this for even close to $30pp.

Can anyone recommend a livery/shuttle company?  Or any other suggestions?

You could return the car at the MIA airport, ride the hotel shuttle to the hotel, and save the $21 parking fee.  Or check with Larry's Limos for transport from PBI to your hotel - cost will likely be close to the total of your rental and parking (unless you choose a very stretch option), but you can relax and let someone else deal with driving in Miami traffic.

You could ride the Tri-Rail train from PBI to MIA (there are shuttles from PBI to the train and from the train to MIA at the other end) and then use the hotel shuttle to get to your hotel - saving the rental fee and parking.  Train tickets cost about $5 each, but check the web site as on the weekend the trains run infrequently and you could be waiting for a while.

From hotel to POM you could split up into 2 UberX or standard Lyft cars at about $20+ per car (so $40+ compared to 6 x $13), which should almost buy a round of drinks at the pool bar.

Have a great cruise! 😎
