LovetheCubs Posted December 27, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2019 Some of the restaurants say $0.00 when booking a specialty place. Some say a la carte. What happens in the a la carte restaurants as far as price? What about the $0.00 will my bill be nothing really? Thanks in advance!
yearsofcruising Posted December 27, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2019 Always confusing. Sure someone will clarify. Been on a dozen NCL's..On the site before booking .."a la carte" is pay what you eat..think " 0 " is a fixed price for all you eat ?
LovetheCubs Posted December 27, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted December 27, 2019 So if it’s a la carte it isn’t in the free speciality dinning package?

Yes, it's the SDP, however, when you have the package, the ala carte prices are not applicable. Some pax go without having the package and pay for what they order. It can be quite expensive. With the package, you can order 1 entree only, the rest are pretty much unlimited (within reason).
Rare JamieLogical Posted December 27, 2019 #5 Share Posted December 27, 2019 The flat-rate restaurants are fully covered by the SDP. The a la carte restaurants could potentially have overages, depending on what you order. The SDP covers appetizers, one entree, and desserts. If you order more than one entree or you order one of the items that incurs an additional upcharge, your balance after the SDP credit could be more than $0.00.
