La Romana

Looking for suggestions for excursions or activities in La Romana in the next two weeks. Are there any tours worth doing? Are there any day passes to resorts? I would appreciate your first hand experiences and suggestions. Thanks.

We did a Carnival excursion to Isla Catalina.  The beach was gorgeous!  If you just want an easy beach day I highly recommend.

Did the excursion include lunch, chairs, umbrellas, etc?  If not, are there restaurants available? Thanks

It included the chairs and umbrella.  There was a restaurant where you could buy food. It did not look appetizing though!

We did the Sevis tour to Sanoa last time through and had a nice time.

 Beautiful there and a great lunch with a few stops.

I recommend Hilton La Romana.  Here is a link to a YouTube video. The video description has a lot of info in it, including day pass cost and taxi at the time we were there.

I've been there twice, once in Sept 2013 when it was under Dreams management and again in October 2019, which is now under Hilton management, and it is amazing...if you like the beach, pools, all-inclusive resort, and relaxing.  I can't speak for how busy it will be when you go, but both times we went there were not many people around. But, I know people that went in March 2014 (spring break time) and it was very busy. Also, if you like snorkeling, I can't say the snorkeling is the best...not many colorful fish...however, there are a lot of starfish.  I've seen them both times I've been there.

Go with Pro Excursion we did a ATV tour, and it was the best.  You get to see the country side and how they really live in the villages.  We also stopped by a school to see the children and pass out school supplies.

I booked Hilton La Romana's day pass by messaging them via their Facebook page, but there may be other ways.      https://www.facebook.com/HiltonLaRomana/ 

Have fun! I wish all cruises stopped in La Romana because I would go to Hilton La Romana every time,
