kaceyisme Posted January 24, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2020 (edited) Can anyone give me feedback on the Oceanview cabins on deck 4, category 05 on the Quest? Do you hear any noise from the promenade deck above? Also any info on the size of the window in the cabin? Pictures would be appreciated if anyone has any. Also, I understand that there are six new cabins that were put in on deck 4. Do these cabins have sofas? I read that they are smaller than the other cabins on that deck. Thanks! Grandma Cruising Posted January 24, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2020 Can’t tell you anything about the 4 ‘new’ cabins (4060-4070) but the main Cat 5 OV cabins on Deck 4 are great. They have large windows and are very quiet. We’ve been in 2 or 3 and never heard any noise from the promenade deck above. We really like 4044 to 4056 because of their location. We eat on Discoveries most nights so we’re really close there and close to Mosaic so very easy to get a coffee! Also if you have any queries it’s so easy to go to Guest Relations. Do not book Ocean View Cabins, midship on deck 6! First they are not really ocean view but they are FULLY obstructed and second they seem to be smaller than other cabins. Agree... we were allocated one of these as a guarantee. I definitely would not book one. They are small, no sofa and we had someone working in the lifeboat outside our window almost everyday...an inside would be better.
lisiamc Posted January 24, 2020 #7 Share Posted January 24, 2020 We stayed in Quest 4040 last summer, after the Den had replaced the casino. The grand piano was moved from its previous home in the corner, and put in a more central position, directly over cabin 4040. We could tell you every song on the early evening play list, since we heard them every night as we were getting ready for dinner. The piano player knocks off fairly early, and we’re night birds, so he never kept us awake, but if you are early to bed, it is something to consider. We ended up taking 4066, which is one of the newly added cabins. It’s not my ideal location, but we were offered some nice compensation for taking a downgrade from a balcony to an ocean view. After your cruise please come back and put information about the cabin in the Azamara Cabins topic. Thanks.
Mrs Miggins Posted January 25, 2020 #10 Share Posted January 25, 2020 We have been in 4068 on Pursuit. it seemed to us just the same as the other 05 category cabins we have been in before. However I understand from this board that the 'new' cabins on Quest are in fact smaller. This was discussed on a thread "OV cabins on Pursuit" June 9th 2019.
